Tour Prices for Hotel Guests

!!! Dear guests, due to private and family matters (expecting a second child and pursuing studies for UN interpreter and translator) I will NOT be taking orders for the 2016 season !!!
The EMAILS are being FORWARDED to the best of my guides, who will respond to you directly and give their prices.

(Thank you for your understanding and I wish you a nice time in St. Petersburg!)

The first five tours are designed in the way that:

  • they consider the logistics (avoid zick zack routes and take the shortest distances between attractions, eg. Catherine Palace and Pavlovsk Palace on the same day, as they are not far apart, but far from city centre), 
  • they consider the opening times and days of the attractions (eg. Hermitage and Grand Palace in Peterhof closed on Mondays, St. Isaac's Cathedral and Saviour on Spilled Blood Church closed on Wednesdays - thus, best to combine on same day) and 
  • they separate the most asked for Must-See-attractions (Tours 1,2,3) from further attractions (Tours 4, 5).
Further on are being added other possible tours that may be combined into divers interesting itineraries (eg. Tour 6 + Tour 7 = all Must-See-attractions within 2 days) - a shorter alternative to the best-selling 3-day-itinerary (Tour 1 + Tour 2 + Tour 3).

Comments like "not on Tuesday" point out the days of the week on which one ore several of the attractions on the tour are closed for visits which makes the tour impossible on this day of the week.

Tour 1: City tour with photo stops and inside visits to Peter-and-Paul's Fortress, St. Isaac's Cathedral, 1h boat ride (Neva-river and canals of the "Northern Venice") and Saviour on the Blood - by car in the morning, thereafter walking and by boat

The approximate timing of the tour is as follows (considers the boat departure times) and may need to be adjusted depending on the address of your hotel.

9:30-13:00 City tour, Peter-and-Paul's-Fortress, incl. Cathedral, photo stops

13:00-13:45 St. Isaac's Cathedral (from here without car)

13:45-14:45 Lunch time (optional*)

15:00-16:00 Boat ride

16:30-17:00 Saviour on the Spilled Blood Church

17:00-17:30 Return to hotel

This tour is NOT possible on Wednesdays. This tour is ONLY possible during navigation season (May-October).

Tour 2a: Fountain Gardens (and if wanted Grand Palace = extra 23 Euro/person) of Peterhof, "Underground Palaces" of Metro and Hermitage - by car for Peterhof, Metro for Metro tour, otherwise walking 

The approximate timing of the tour is as follows (considers the most likely entry time to be assigned by the Hermitage museum administration for the entrance without queueing) and may need to be adjusted depending on the address of your hotel.

9:45-11:15 Drive to Peterhof

11:15-12:45 Fountain Gardens (and possibly Grand Palace = start the tour 30 Min earlier) of Peterhof

12:45-13:15 Drive to Metro station "Avtovo" (from here on without car)

13:15-14:15 "Underground Palaces" of the Metro

14:15-15:15 Lunch time (optional*)

15:30-17:45 Hermitage

17:45-18:15 Return to hotel

NB: You must let me know during booking if you wish to visit the Grand Palace from inside as tickets must be ordered in advance and wont be possible to get during the tour!

This tour is NOT possible on Mondays.  This tour when including the Grand Palace in Peterhof is NOT possible on the last Tuesday of the month. The fountains in Peterhof are only functioning during the summer season (last weekend of April to mid October). During the time when the fountains are off, the inside visit to the Grand Palace is included in the tour price without extra charge.

The approximate timing of the tour is as follows (considers the hydrofoil departure times and the most likely entry time to be assigned by the Hermitage museum administration for the entrance without queueing) and may need to be adjusted depending on the address of your hotel.

10:30-11:00 Go to the hydrofoil jetting

11:00-11:45 Take hydrofoil to Peterhof

11:45-13:15 Fountain Gardens (and possibly Grand Palace = start the tour 60 Min earlier) of Peterhof

13:30-14:15 Take hydrofoil back into city centre

14:30-15:30 Lunch time (optional*)

15:45-18:00 Hermitage

18:00-18:30 Return to hotel

NB: You must let me know during booking if you wish to visit the Grand Palace from inside as tickets must be ordered in advance and wont be possible to get during the tour!

This tour is NOT possible on Mondays.  This tour when including the Grand Palace in Peterhof is NOT possible on the last Tuesday of the month. This tour is ONLY possible during navigation season (1st or 2nd week of May to mid October).

10:00-11:00 Drive to Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo)

11:00-12:20 Catherine Palace with Amber Room (actual tour approx. 1h) 

12:20-13:00 Catherine Park (actual tour approx. 20-30 min) 

13:00-14:00 Lunch time (optional*)

14:00-14:30 Drive to Pavlovsk

14:30-15:45 Pavlovsk Palace of Paul I (actual tour approx. 1h) and glimpse into the park

15:45-17:00 Return to hotel

This tour is NOT possible on Tuesdays and first Monday of the month and during the period between September and April also not possible on Fridays and last Monday of the month.

Tour 4: Yusupov Palace incl. Rasputin Murder Exhibition and Russian Museum - by public transport and walking

The approximate timing of the tour is as follows (is rather flexible) and may need to be adjusted depending on the address of your hotel.

10:00-10:45 Go to Yusupov Palace

10:45-12:45 Yusupov Palace incl. Rasputin Murder Exhibition (actual tour approx. 1,5-2h) 

13:00-14:00 Lunch time (optional*)

14:00-14:30 Take public transport to Russian Museum

14:30-16:30 Russian Museum (actual tour approx. 1,5-2h)

16:30-17:00 Return to hotel

Tour 5: Get to know the Beginnings of Russia, visit the ancient City of Novgorod - by car

The approximate timing of the tour is as follows (considers the best time to be during day light in Novgorod) and may need to be adjusted depending on the address of your hotel.

10:30-11:00 If wanted - short coffee break 

11:00-16:30 Excursions in Novgorod (s. description)

16:30-19:00 Return to your hotel in St. Petersburg

This tour is NOT possible on Mondays and Wednesdays. This tour is a good replacement for the Tour 1 between November and April.

10:00-11:00 Drive to Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo)

11:00-12:20 Catherine Palace with Amber Room (actual tour approx. 1h) 

12:20-13:00 Catherine Park (actual tour approx. 20-30 min)

Included:

  • all entry tickets using museum vouchers (minimised waiting time)
  • all photo and video permits (except in Pavlovsk Palace, Yusupov Palace, Russian Museum and where forbidden)
  • all transportation according to itinerary: a/c vehicle of suitable size with driver, public transport tickets, boat ride tickets
  • private English-speaking guide throughout
  • obligatory earphones-radio-system in the Hermitage for groups of 7 and more persons


    • NOT included in price are:

  • lunches (you can order a lunch set menu (salad + soup + main + desert + bottled water + tea/coffee) at 17 Euro/guest/day plus 12 Euro/guide/day! The menu is different on each day and in a different restaurant always on the route of the tour and prepared for your arrival time thus saving you the tour time but also money as a la cart you only will be able to get a main for the same price as set menus are on the closed contract rate for advanced orders and cannot be obtained on the walk-in-and-order basis. NB: If you want to order lunch(es), you must do so when booking! Please advise of any dietary restrictions like food allergies, being vegetarian, religious restrictions you might have when booking lunches via email - if only advised about such restrictions on the day of the tour, no meal replacement or adjustment might be possible.)
  • Paypal service fees on deposit payment (5% of deposit payment) 
  • Gratuities (Amount - same as in Europe or USA)


    • *If you decide to skip lunch (set menu or a la cart) or coffee break, then your guide is entitled to either take a 1h break or finish the tour 1h earlier

    **Payable in Rub according to the exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank, however 1 Eur = at least 55 Rub. The payment is in two goes:

    1. Approx. 30% as deposit at the time of booking to finalise your booking - via Paypal (can be paid using credit card online, no need to have your own Paypal account),
    2. Balance payable in St. Petersburg in cash to your guide, in case of multiple days of touring in daily rates.
